There
are still 10 spaces open for our event next Monday so hurry hurry
to get on the list.
This event will
be a rescheduling of an event, in December, cancelled due to snow.
Jane & Ron Floyd originally planned this menu. Please note that
this event is on Monday, which is a day that Joy’s Bistro is
normally closed. This event will be limited to 35.
Small plates will be featured, paired
with wines from five or six of the local wineries. We will have a
winemaker or two on hand and a surprise new first release wine. This
menu was originally meant to be hord’oeuvres, so portions will be
small.
The evening will
start with assorted Crostini, Prosciutto wrapped melon and crabcakes
drizzled with curry aioli, accompanied by Harbinger’s Viognier and
Black Diamond’s Rhubarb wine.
Olympic Cellars,
Dungeness Red and Lost Mountain’s Barbera will be served with
Caramelized onion tartlets with thyme and truffle oil and a savory
pastry filled with sausage and chanterelles and Pork Rillettes.
Marinated lamb on
Rosemary skewers will be paired with Camaraderie Cellars pre-release
Tempranillo.
The finishing touch
will be a chocolate truffle torte with Fairwinds port.
We will be the first
to taste the bottled Tempranillo. New
releases include the Viognier, Dungeness Red, Barbera and Rhubarb. While
the port is not new, we could not pass up pairing it with chocolate
dessert.
